Of this lithograph printer other allegories similar were done. The head is a woman head and refers to the new nation birth. Following issues from 1864 to 1868 represented the same sun but shown in arms of the nation, together with horse cattle fortress and scale symbols. Mint ancient Uruguay stamps are in most cases without gum, otherwise presence of gum will be detailed in description (CONDITION).
